MIDAS-E-H2X | Honeywell Midas® hydrogen ppm 0–1000 ppm
MIDAS-E-H2X is a Honeywell Midas® 2-year E cartridge for hydrogen ppm (H₂), range 0–1000 ppm, electrochemical. It plugs into the MIDAS-T-004 extractive transmitter — not a Sensepoint XCD diffusion head. Sample line up to 30 m FEP at ~500 mL/min.

Midas is extractive: the cell sits in the tool cabinet while FEP pulls sample from the valve box. hydrogen ppm uses electrochemical. Pyrolyzed species need MIDAS-T-00P / T-HTP / T-NP1 or the cartridge will not read.

MIDAS-E-H2X mates to MIDAS-T-004. Pump MIDAS-A-007, internal filter MIDAS-A-009. Same-gas 1-year S cartridge is the short-warranty sibling. Calibration notes live on product-2679.

Wall-mount MIDAS-T-004 on the pre-drilled chassis or DIN kit A-036, then insert MIDAS-E-H2X. Sample 1/8″ID×1/4″OD FEP to 30 m; exhaust 1/4″ID×3/8″OD to 30 m. End-of-line filter 0780248 or 1830-0055/0027 by gas. 24 VDC (−15%/+10%) or PoE 48 V; pyrolyzer load up to 12.95 W. 0–40 °C, 0–30 °C with pyrolyzer.
FAQ
- Can MIDAS-E-H2X plug into Sensepoint XCD?
- No. Midas is an extractive cartridge; XCD is a diffusion sensor housing. They do not mate.
- Does MIDAS-E-H2X need a pyrolyzer?
- Gases marked ** (CH₂F₂, C₄F₆, C₅F₈, NF₃, CH₃F) need MIDAS-T-00P / T-HTP / T-NP1 plus a ventilated cover.
- MIDAS-E-H2X vs the S cartridge?
- Same gas and range. E is 2-year extended warranty; S is 1-year. LEL cartridges warrant 2 years but can be calibrated to 5.
- How is 4–20 mA landed on MIDAS-E-H2X?
- 3-wire sink, 3-wire source or 4-wire isolated 0–21 mA; plus 3 relays and Modbus TCP / PoE. Max 14 AWG.
